The Journey 2001–2026

2001 · A craft first

The founder entered bespoke carpet making through hand-tufting and hand-knitting, and ADA FLOOR was built from day one on an original-design-only stance.

2002 · Into five-star hospitality

The Four Seasons Shanghai project brought the brand into luxury hotel guestroom carpeting.

2005–2007 · Opening the residence line

Xiangmihu No.1 in Shenzhen delivered full carpet packages for 188–286 m² apartments and 700 m²+ villas, establishing the dual hotel-and-residence structure.

2007–2010 · The Fairmont Peace Hotel restoration

984.4 m² of Axminster-woven carpet for the Bund landmark — 7 mm pile, 80% fine wool, jute backing, 12 colours, woven full-width on a 4-metre loom — the defining proof of the brand's weaving capability.

2010–2013 · International groups, one after another

DoubleTree by Hilton Wuxi 412 rooms (2010), The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong 103F lobby and corridors (2011), Four Seasons Guangzhou 344 rooms (2012), Royal Pacific Hong Kong 673-room refurbishment (2012), Shanghai Baohua Marriott 323 rooms and 1,705 m² of banquet space (2013).

2014–2015 · Resorts and residences expand

Banyan Tree Yangshuo 141 suites and villas and Banyan Tree Huangshan 127 suites and villas delivered; One Shenzhen Bay began covering 128–2,100 m² homes in 2014, followed by China Merchants Twin Towers and Hanjing Jiurongtai.

2018–2019 · Delivery scale and corporate foundation

Hilton Garden Inn Hengqin 158 rooms and a 554 m² column-free ballroom (2018); Rosewood Guangzhou 251 rooms and suites on floors 95–108 of CTF Finance Centre (2019); operating entity Shenzhen Aidafuluo Carpet Co., Ltd. formally registered on 4 January 2019.

A carpet is designed first as fibre art, and only then as a floor material.

Founder · Ding Liuqin

Professional background

Ding Liuqin (registered name Ding Jingjing, the same person) graduated in fibre art from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and serves as the company's legal representative. That training set ADA FLOOR's product logic: a carpet is designed first as fibre art, and only then as a floor material.

The practice path

Design experience at top carpet companies combined with an in-house factory — from yarn and weaving to installation — closes the loop between design and making on one line.

Three design principles

Originality first: every pattern is redesigned for its specific space. Materials serve the scene: wool, silk, nylon, sisal and jute are configured by traffic, acoustics, fire performance and maintenance. The carpet is a space's first layer of expression: design starts from context, light and lifestyle, and lands on underfoot feel and durability.

Two Cities, One Factory

Shenzhen showroom

Unit 2005, Phase II, Art Exhibition Center, Zhanyi Road, Luohu, Shenzhen — reception, material selection and scheme meetings.

Shanghai showroom

3F Wutongli, No. 3 Kangping Road, Xuhui, Shanghai — serving East China hotel and design practice projects.

Xiqiao factory

Xiqiao, Nanhai, Foshan, Guangdong — about 7,000 m² and still expanding, with Axminster looms plus tufting, printing and carpet-tile lines.

Six Craft Lines

Hand-tufted

Yarn punched stitch by stitch; strongest on complex patterns, custom shapes and layered pile.

Axminster woven

Full-width weaving — dense, flat, wear-resistant; the hotel lobby, corridor and ballroom default.

Machine-tufted

Stable delivery for high-volume hotel and commercial floor programmes.

Printed

High pattern fidelity and rich colour at low maintenance cost.

Carpet tiles

For offices — easy to install, flexible to replace, wear- and load-resistant.

Natural fibres

Hand-knotted, sisal and jute categories with matte texture and quiet colour.

Materials & Application Engineering

Specifications combine wool, silk, nylon, blends and natural fibres such as sisal and jute, configured to footfall, acoustics, fire performance and maintenance requirements. Fire and wear performance for hotel projects is evidenced by project-specific test reports.

Selection starts from the setting: lobbies weigh pile weight and height against footfall, guest rooms balance acoustics and underfoot feel, corridors demand density and repairability, ballrooms pair pattern with lighting, and homes match furniture, light and daily life.

Brand Culture & Identity

ADA engraved tree emblem, with A·D·A standing for Artistry, Dedication, Atelier

The identity pairs an engraved tree emblem with a wordmark. The emblem carries the letters A, D and A inside its canopy, and the A·D·A beneath it stands for Artistry · Dedication · Atelier. The wordmark reads ADA FLOOR in bold sans capitals with widened tracking, antique bronze resting on obsidian — restrained, workshop-born.

ADA FLOOR is unrelated to the Turkish carpet brand ADOFLOOR and to the US ADA accessibility act.

Three brand colours. Mint is taken from the emblem’s engraved ground and is reserved for print and packaging; the interface keeps obsidian and bronze only.
